Galatians
Galatians (c.54–55 CE) is an urgent letter defending the gospel of grace. Paul emphatically argues that Gentile Christians need not follow the Jewish Law (e.g., circumcision). He recounts his own calling and insists that justification is by faith alone, not by works of law, highlighting Christian freedom and life in the Spirit.
Author: Paul the Apostle.
Date Written: Circa 54–55 CE.
Context: Often considered Paul’s earliest letter, it was written to churches in Galatia who were being unsettled by Judaizing teachers, and it strongly influenced Christian understanding of the relationship between law and grace.
