Date Written: Spanning roughly a thousand years: early compositions possibly around 1000 BCE (Davidic era) to at least the post-exilic period (the latest psalm reflects the Babylonian captivity, 6th century BCE).

Context: Psalms served as Israel’s hymnbook for worship. Its compilation likely occurred shortly after the Babylonian exile (around 537 BCE), preserving Israel’s liturgical heritage and reflecting its historical experiences.
