Revelation
Revelation (c.95–100 CE) is an apocalyptic vision given to John of Patmos. It employs symbolic imagery (beasts, seals, trumpet judgments) to depict the cosmic battle between good and evil, the persecution of the early church, and the ultimate triumph of God’s kingdom.
Author: Traditionally John of Patmos (often identified with the Apostle John).
Date Written: Circa 95–100 CE.
Context: Written during Domitian’s reign, Revelation addresses seven Asian churches. Its vivid prophecy was intended to encourage persecuted Christians with the hope of final deliverance and vindication by God.
