Και ειπε προς αυτους, Υπαγετε, φαγετε παχεα και πιετε γλυκασματα, και αποστειλατε μεριδας προς τους μη εχοντας μηδεν ητοιμασμενον? διοτι η ημερα ειναι αγια εις τον Κυριον ημων? και μη λυπεισθε? διοτι η χαρα του Κυριου ειναι η ισχυς σας.
Ας ευφραινωνται δε παντες οι ελπιζοντες επι σε? ας χαιρωσι διαπαντος, διοτι συ περισκεπαζεις αυτους? ας καυχωνται ομοιως επι σε οι αγαπωντες το ονομα σου.
Εφανερωσας εις εμε την οδον της ζωης? χορτασμος ευφροσυνης ειναι το προσωπον σου? τερπνοτητες ειναι διαπαντος εν τη δεξια σου.
Διοτι εθεσας αυτον ευλογιαν εις τον αιωνα? υπερευφρανας αυτον δια του προσωπου σου.
Διοτι η οργη αυτου διαρκει μιαν μονην στιγμην? ζωη ομως ειναι εν τη ευμενεια αυτου? το εσπερας δυναται να συγκατοικηση κλαυθμος, αλλα το πρωι ερχεται αγαλλιασις.
Οι σπειροντες μετα δακρυων εν αγαλλιασει θελουσι θερισει.
Ωιδη των Αναβαθμων.>> Μακαριος πας ο φοβουμενος τον Κυριον, ο περιπατων εν ταις οδοις αυτου.
Διοτι θελεις τρωγει απο του κοπου των χειρων σου? μακαριος θελεις εισθαι, και ευτυχια εις σε.
Και οι λελυτρωμενοι του Κυριου θελουσιν επιστρεψει και ελθει εν αλαλαγμω εις την Σιων? και ευφροσυνη αιωνιος θελει εισθαι επι της κεφαλης αυτων? αγαλλιασιν και ευφροσυνην θελουσιν απολαυσει? η λυπη δε και ο στεναγμος θελουσι φυγει.
Ταυτα ελαλησα προς εσας δια να μεινη εν υμιν η χαρα μου και η χαρα υμων να ηναι πληρης.
Διοτι η βασιλεια του Θεου δεν ειναι βρωσις και ποσις, αλλα δικαιοσυνη και ειρηνη και χαρα εν Πνευματι Αγιω?
